Approximately 2200K to 3000K is common in homes and hospitality because it supports warm materials and relaxed evening use.
Around 3500K to 4000K can suit tasks, offices, clinics and some retail settings, but glare control and surface finishes influence comfort as much as the number.
Tunable white can shift between warmer and cooler settings. It is most useful when scenes and schedules have a clear purpose rather than offering adjustment for its own sake.
Two products with the same Kelvin label may look different. Review colour tolerance, CRI or TM-30 data, dimming behaviour and samples where the finish is critical.
